Another image from our trip to Hawaii. Sadi stayed behind while Sherri, Dee & I went on to see the turtles. Came back to find her sleeping on the beach. No better opportunity for a photo...

taking a break...
I am so belated in getting a lot of my photos out there. I have taken so many lately with all my various cameras, but I have started posting less. I feel overwhelmed in that I want to get them all posted on my blogs. This is an image from our trip to Hawaii in May. We all were down in the Waikiki shopping area. After all the walking, Sherri let everyone else go ahead and she found a shaded area to sit back and relax. When I came walking up, it looked like a great opportunity for a photo...
oh the colors...
Took this photo in between shopping during our recent trip to south Texas. I love taking pictures of Sherri! BTW, the colors and detail of Kodak Ektar are pretty amazing (especially with the Leica lens)...
no loitering...
Another few photos from our weekend trip to Gruene. Got up early on Sunday morning and headed down to the Guadalupe river to capture a few photos. It was a cloudy, but warm morning and the mosquitos were out in full force. Needless to say, I didn't stay long. But I wondered; if they didn't want me to loiter, why do they have a stool sitting by the river? Just a thought...
am I dreaming...
Sherri and I never really go on vacations to just take photos. Sherri has never been a fan of that type of vacation. She generally tells me to go and have fun without her. Well, that all changed this past weekend. We went to Austin and Gruene Texas to see a few things we have never seen and TO TAKE PHOTOS. After getting some coffee and relaxing, we took these photos of each other taking photos of each other. This really makes me smile...
on vacation...
so I haven't done so well posting the modified pictures every day. I have been in California since Wednesday on a short end-of-summer vacation that was planned at the last minute. Posted alot of photos from my iPhone on troybradfordiphonephotos.blogspot.com. Hope to be back to posting photos on this website next week.
Jamaica
These pictures were taken on a family trip to Jamaica during spring break in 2005. It was interesting to me that if a tree died or if it was blown over, they didn't let it go to waste. They would carve an image in the remaining part of the tree. The first tree was right on the beach adjacent to the reclining chairs. The second carving was done while we were staying in our room. Our room was right behind this statue. We woke up every morning to the sounds of a hatchet cutting away at the tree. I guess they started early, because by midday they were busy partaking in a favorite local past time in Jamaica...
